We work with a nice hotel complex with 54 independent flats of different sizes, including a honeymoon suite and 6 studios, restaurant and even a spa.
The hotel is located just outside the bustling village of Las Terrenas, on the beautiful Samana Peninsula in the north-east of the Dominican Republic.
Flat double room :
70 m² flat with 1 bedroom with king size bed, 1 bathroom, living room with fully equipped kitchen + 1 sofa (74 "x 30"), spacious terrace or balcony. Air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, telephone, cable TV, wireless internet connection. For 2 persons + 1 child (with extra bed in the sofa).
Family flat :
106 m² flat with 2 bedrooms (1 king size bed + 2 twin beds), 2 bathrooms, living room with fully equipped kitchen, spacious terrace or balcony. Air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, telephone, cable TV, wireless internet connection. Sleeps 4.
Villa type with loft :
114 m² ground floor flat with 1 bedroom and 1 loft, both with king-size bed + 1 sofa (74 "x 30") in the loft, 2 bathrooms, living room with fully equipped kitchen + 1 sofa (74 "x 30"), spacious terrace. Air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, telephone, cable TV, wireless internet connection. For 4 persons + 2 children (2 sofas).
Day 1
You will learn about the sport, how to hold, carry and secure a kite to the ground. You will learn the main aspects of the safety system. You will learn how to activate the safety in flight and what to do in different situations. You will learn what a wind window is. You will learn how to fly the kite with two hands, one hand and walking, and you will learn the basics of landing and launching.
Second day
Once the instructor is sure you are ready, you will enter the water and learn to body drag. The instructor will accompany you every step of the way, as far as possible. You will body drag without a board until you can handle a kite with one hand. You will be introduced to upwind techniques, learn how to stop and save yourself. Once you have demonstrated all aspects, it is time to enter the water with the board.
Day 3
The instructor will focus on getting you up and down the board in both directions. You will learn how to tuck in so that you can get upwind. Self-launching, self-rescue and deep water folding. Glide transitions and toe-side techniques.
Our lessons are fully customised to each client's learning ability. The instructor will go faster if you progress faster, although the instructor will not let you into the water until he/she thinks you are ready. We trust our instructors' opinions completely as safety is our number one priority.

Located between Cabarete and Punta, you will find here an authentic kitesurfing destination, far from the big resorts and the mass effect. The Samana peninsula doesn't catch the wind as well as Cabarete but the shallow lagoon makes it very easy and safe to learn!
