A kite adventure on a sailing catamaran is another level!
You may be asking yourself: "What is a kitesurfing and sailing camp? Simply put, you get on a beautiful sailing catamaran for 6 to 9 days, relaxation and exploration guaranteed.
You will have the opportunity to kite in incredible locations under the watchful eye of an experienced crew, practice new skills such as launching from a boatYou will be able to navigate in unique or unconventional places, and learn IKO safety procedures and new tricks and techniques.
Your crew of three is on board to ensure you have the best possible experience. They include a photo and video coaching to help you develop your skills, pick you up if you need to be rescued and organise light wind activities such as SUP, wakefoiling and wakeboarding.
But it's not just about performing on the water, because just being on the boat is half the fun! Explore the open sea passages, hop from island to island, and chase the wind with the crew. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included, so you can relax, sip a cold drink and enjoy the journey!
There's something special about waking up on the spot, able to refuel and navigate at any time. Follow the catamaran on a downwind is an incredible experience, and having experienced instructors available to offer advice and make the experience safe and comfortable is unbeatable. And being able to kite where no one else does? That's a unique experience!
Now, you may have some questions, like... "What if my kite level is not high enough?" or "What kite gear should I bring?"
Kite level required :
This trip is recommended for intermediate or advanced kiteboarders who are able to ride upwind consistently in all wind conditions, control the kite on land, body drag to windward, re-launch the kite from the water, body drag to their lost board and land the kite themselves with the chicken loop quick release.
That said, beginners are welcomeThey must declare their level and book either beginner lessons or an Assistance Plus package. So don't be afraid! If you're not sure of your kite level, the crew will be there to help you, and this trip could be just the thing to take you to the next phase of fun!
Kiteboarding equipment - The Action cruise has the brand new 2022 North Kiteboarding equipment on board. If you are taking beginner lessons, the equipment will be provided. If you are an intermediate or advanced kiter, you can hire a full set of equipment for your trip and be sure you always have the kite size you need to get out on the water! If you wish to use The Action Cruise's equipment, be sure to request it in advance to ensure its availability.
Membership of the Action Cruise ASD - All participants must join the Action Cruise ASD (Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica), whose annual fee is only 10 euros. To become a member, it is necessary to accept the statutes and regulations and to comply with the statutes and resolutions of the ASD and the Centro Nazionale Sportivo Libertas. Participants must also have a medical release letter for sports activities. Becoming a member is a very simple and quick process.
Sardinia or Greece? This is perhaps the most difficult question of all!
In Sardinia, the Kite and Sail camps are running between May-June and end of September-Octoberwhile Greece operates from July to early September. Scroll to the bottom of this article for the full schedule of camps for 2022.
In GreeceOn a 7 or 8 day trip you have the opportunity to explore the Cyclades in Meltemi winds of 12-35 knots. The camp starts in Paros - Paroikia, and the catamaran sails through the central islands of the Cyclades. Kite in Paros, Antiparos, Lesser Cyclades, Mykonos, Rinia, Milos and other secret places. In Sardiniayou will sail through North Sardinia and the South Corsica for 6 days with mistral winds ranging from 12 to 35 knots. The camp starts in Cannigione-Olbia, and the catamaran will sail between North Sardinia and South Corsica. Whatever you choose, you can be sure that you will be sailing to and from the best spots with the best conditions for kite sessions, lessons and coaching. If you fancy something for the winter season, the team can take you sailing in the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda on special request. For Christmas, we usually have dates available, even for individual requests.
